On March 23, 2016, in Fairfield, Alabama, 39-year-old Paul Middleton and 23-year-old Alshera Chew were found shot to death inside Middleton's residence on Jerry Coleman Street. Authorities suggested that robbery might have been the motive behind the double homicide.
