On May 26, 2009, Carl Ashton O’Neil Gray Fitzgerald, aged 25, was shot and killed at approximately 12:23 a.m. in the 1300 block of T Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and found Fitzgerald at the scene. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
