Death by Force

On the evening of April 8, 2017, Kerry Lafoy Minter, a 39-year-old African American man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot in the 4400 block of Eli Avenue Southwest. Responding officers from the Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct found Mr. Minter lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. They administered CPR until Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived.
