On June 12, 2017, in Center Point, Alabama, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man slumped over the wheel of a car parked on Villa Rica Court. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of 19-year-old Dashia LaShay Abrams and 21-year-old Austin Dewayne Scott inside the vehicle, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
