In the summer of 2017, a life was tragically cut short in Huntsville, Alabama. A 25-year-old man, Ezekiel Briggs, was shot and killed on Friday, July 14th. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded in the late hours of the night, just before midnight, in the 2400 block of Old Blue Springs Road. Authorities believe that an argument between Briggs and another individual escalated, resulting in the fatal shooting.
Responding to the call, Huntsville Police officers arrived at the
scene to find that Briggs had sustained a mortal gunshot wound. In the days that followed, the Huntsville Police Department's Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation into the homicide. Their inquiries led them to identify a suspect in the case: Mondrel Ward, a 25-year-old from Huntsville. Investigators believe that Ward was the one who shot and killed Briggs following their dispute.
In an effort to locate the suspect, the police department reached out to the public for assistance in finding Mondrel Ward. He was described as a Black male, approximately 5'11' tall and weighing 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The authorities urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward and contact the Huntsville Police Department.
