On a summer day in Evergreen, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Dyontae Terrell Gross was cut short by an act of gun violence on July 20, 2017. Born on October 3, 1994, to Jennifer Jenkins and Willie Earl Gross, Dyontae was a graduate of Hillcrest High School's class of 2013 and had attended Alabama State University. He was known for his love of basketball.
