Death by Force

On June 16, 2023, at approximately 11:28 p.m., the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting on Boone Court in the Johnsonville community near Evergreen, Alabama. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 31-year-old Jatonio Williams deceased from gunshot wounds. A 10-year-old boy, later identified as Joe "JoeJoe" Rankin, was also found critically injured and was transported to Evergreen Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
