Marcus Orlando Dancy, a 32-year-old from Bessemer, Alabama, was tragically killed on July 24, 2017, in what authorities have described as a violent and senseless homicide. Dancy was shot multiple times in the 900 block of 9th Avenue, an area of Bessemer known for higher rates of violent crime.
