On August 31, 2017, 22-year-old Devin Edward Richard of Huntsville, Alabama, was found deceased alongside 21-year-old Damian Blake Ricketts of Hazel Green. Both men were discovered with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on Analicia Drive in Madison. The homeowners, who were not acquainted with the victims, alerted authorities after hearing gunshots.
