On November 28, 2017, 35-year-old Mary Elizabeth Timmons Scott was found deceased in Selma, Alabama. Her body was discovered in the trunk of a car located in a wooded area several hundred yards behind a residence on Dallas County Road 540. She had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
