In the city of Selma, Alabama, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of Jasmine Callens, a 32-year-old mother. On the evening of November 12, 2023, in the 1500 block of Tremont Street, Callens was shot while inside a vehicle. The shooting occurred in the presence of her five children, who ranged in age from five to fourteen. After being shot, Callens was transported to a local hospital.
