In the early morning hours of September 28, 2025, the city of Selma, Alabama, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 59-year-old Edwina Russaw. A resident of Selma, she was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting that occurred in the 1200 block of Woodrow Avenue. The incident, which also left three other individuals injured, unfolded at approximately 1:00 a.m., casting a dark shadow over the community.
