On March 5, 2023, 24-year-old Lakin Keanna Smith was fatally shot in Selma, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Cummings Circle. Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford reported that officers responding to the scene discovered another victim, Cameron Struggs, deceased from gunshot wounds.
