Juanita Tripp, a 73-year-old woman from Selma, Alabama, tragically lost her life on December 25, 2016, in what authorities later classified as a homicide. On Christmas Day, Selma police responded to a call about a disturbance at Tripp's residence. When officers arrived, they found Tripp unresponsive inside her home, with signs of blunt force trauma.
