On June 23, 2022, Kadeejia Lee, a 28-year-old woman from Selma, Alabama, was tragically shot and killed in a violent incident. The homicide occurred in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Selma, a city known for its historic significance but also grappling with incidents of violence. According to authorities, Lee was shot while sitting in a vehicle. She was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
