On December 11, 2017, 37-year-old Jamie Hill was fatally shot in Jasper, Alabama, following a dispute over money. Witnesses reported that the altercation began as a physical struggle between Hill and another individual over $20, during which a firearm was discharged, resulting in Hill's death.
