On the morning of August 26, 2025, Ronald Martin Minor, a 72-year-old male from Jasper, Alabama, was shot and killed inside a home on the 1700 block of Devon Drive. Officers with the Jasper Police Department responded around 10:30 a.m. and found a 70-year-old woman wounded in the street; she had fled the house after being shot in the head and told neighbors her husband had been shot inside. Ronald Martin Minor, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene.
