In the quiet community of Manchester near Jasper, Alabama, a domestic argument on September 10, 2022, ended in the tragic death of 61-year-old Roger Russell Wolfe. A white male, Mr. Wolfe was fatally shot at his residence on Fall City Road. The Walker County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene to find him deceased outside his home.
Based on preliminary investigations and statements from witnesses, authorities identified the alleged shooter as Jamie Lee Vines, Mr.
Wolfe's 40-year-old stepson. It is believed that the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute between the two men. Vines was taken into custody at the scene without any resistance and was subsequently transported to the Walker County Jail.
Two days after the incident, on September 12, 2022, a warrant for intentional murder was secured against Jamie Lee Vines. He appeared before District Court Judge Henry Allred, who set his bond at $250,000 cash.
