On October 1, 2020, 19-year-old Fredrick Montel Brock was found deceased on the side of the road in the 1800 block of 11th Avenue in Jasper, Alabama. The Jasper Police Department responded to the scene and identified Brock, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
