A young boy's life was tragically cut short on New Year's Day in 2018 in Bessemer, Alabama. Seven-year-old Trenton 'Levi' Thomas, a first-grade student at Greenwood Elementary School, died from what was reported as an accidental shooting. The incident was the second fatal accidental shooting of a child in Alabama within a four-day period.
