In the late hours of a Thursday in Auburn, Alabama, the life of Cedric Jerome Parker, a 30-year-old Black male, was cut short. On February 15, 2018, Parker was fatally shot, a violent end to a life that had just entered its third decade. The Auburn Police Division quickly launched a homicide investigation into the shooting, but the circumstances surrounding the incident remained shrouded in mystery.
