Tervaris Payne, a 30-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on April 14, 2018, following an altercation that unfolded late in the evening. Payne was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of Old Hayneville Road, an area that had experienced previous reports of violence.
