On June 8, 2018, in Huxford, Alabama, 69-year-old Donald (Don) Nall was found deceased outside his residence on Highway 21 North, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Escambia County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call around 9 p.m. reporting an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, they discovered Nall's body in the front yard. Also present at the scene was his 32-year-old son, Thomas Matthew Nall, who was subsequently arrested and charged with his father's murder.
