In the early morning hours of February 2, 2017, a burst of violence shattered the night on Hayes Road in York, Alabama, leaving one man dead and another wounded. The incident, which unfolded near York West End Junior High School, claimed the life of Eric Evans, a 26-year-old male resident of York. Tragically, the shooting occurred on what was reportedly Evans' 26th birthday.
