On July 8, 2018, 16-year-old Nathaniel Holder of Birmingham, Alabama, was involved in an argument with an acquaintance while seated in a car on the 1100 block of Alabama Street in Tarrant. During the dispute, the acquaintance produced a firearm and shot Nathaniel in the chest. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
