Do you know who murdered Decarlos? On a Thursday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 39-year-old Decarlos Jordan, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 26, 2017, in the Ensley neighborhood, Jordan was found lying on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. in the 4900 block of Court I.
Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct officers responded to a report of a person shot and discovered Jordan at the scene.
Despite the immediate response, the wounds proved fatal. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and in the years that have followed, the case has grown cold.
The death of Decarlos Jordan was one of numerous homicides in Jefferson County that year that remained without a resolution.
