In the early morning hours of January 16, 1977, the life of 20-year-old Black man LaBrian Lovett was cut tragically short in Atlanta, Georgia. What began as a private encounter in a place known as a lover's lane ended in a frantic and futile race for survival. Lovett and his companion, Veronica Hill, were in a car at Adams Park when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire into the vehicle.
