On August 18, 2018, in Auburn, Alabama, 36-year-old Dominique Oneil Key was fatally shot during an incident at an apartment complex on North Donahue Drive. The shooting occurred around 3:45 a.m., resulting in the deaths of Key and 23-year-old Omar Trenton Torbert from Tuskegee. A 61-year-old woman also sustained minor injuries in the incident.
