On March 7, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Auburn Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident in the 1300 block of Commerce Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Lucas Spinks Jr. and a 28-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Spinks was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to a trauma center for further medical treatment.
