Blake Thomas, a 27-year-old resident of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away suddenly on the morning of March 15, 2020, at UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. He died from gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting incident.

The incident occurred inside a Marshalltown home, where Thomas was shot. Mustafa Muhammad was later identified as the man accused of killing Blake Thomas and was subsequently put on trial for the crime.
