Akwalabeng Fontava, 29, a Black male, was found fatally shot inside his North Bethesda apartment on the morning of September 21, 2025. First responders were called around 7:40 a.m. to the 5900 block of Montrose Road, where officers discovered him with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene.
