On a Tuesday in late March of 2007, a resident of a boarding house in Birmingham, Alabama, grew concerned after not seeing a fellow tenant for a while. The concerned resident decided to check on their neighbor, Marvin Speights, a 46-year-old male. Upon entering his room, a grim discovery was made. Speights was found deceased, having been shot.
