On a December evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 20-year-old Cornelius Arthour May Jr., a Black/African American male, was cut short by gunfire. The incident unfolded on December 2, 2022, near a Chevron gas station on Finley Boulevard. Around 8:00 PM, the sound of a shootout between multiple people pierced the night, prompting police to be dispatched to the scene.
