On a Tuesday evening in September 2018, the life of 27-year-old Ladarrian Jamal Allen, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Officers from the West Precinct were dispatched to the Ensley neighborhood around 8 p.m. on September 25th, following reports of a person down in the street.
Upon their arrival at the intersection of 20th Street and Avenue I, they discovered Allen lying unresponsive in the roadway.
