Timothy Austin, a 23-year-old male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver's seat of his vehicle at Harrison Park. Despite being rushed to UAB Hospital, Austin succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden violence.
The initial investigation into the shooting revealed a scene of chaos. Witnesses reported seeing a group of people near Austin's car just before the sound of a single gunshot pierced the air, followed by the sight of several individuals fleeing the park.
