On January 8, 2022, 49-year-old Ed Franklin Harris was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Way Southwest and Matt Leonard Drive. Harris was found unresponsive in the roadway next to his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
