On November 12, 2021, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating over 30 rounds fired at the Serenity Apartments at Valley Creek, located in the 1100 block of 33rd Street Southwest. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men outside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds. These individuals were transported to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
