On December 6, 2018, 37-year-old Amanda Nicole Kirby of Oxford, Alabama, was found deceased on Winchester Road in Anniston. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper torso. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
