On May 18, 2017, 36-year-old Debra Higginbotham was fatally shot in a residence on the 3500 block of Truman Avenue in Anniston, Alabama. The incident also claimed the life of 23-year-old Justin Copeland and left another individual wounded. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and no arrests have been reported in connection with the case.
