In the late hours of a Friday night in Norfolk, Virginia, the life of 40-year-old Tione T. Harris was tragically cut short. On February 21, 2020, dispatchers received a call about a gunshot disturbance in the 3100 block of Dunkirk Avenue. When police officers arrived at the scene around 11:15 p.m., they found Mr. Harris suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. This violent incident marked the third shooting in the city on that day.
