On August 30, 2010, at approximately 9:50 p.m., James Hawkins Jr., aged 30, was shot and killed in the 4300 block of Wheeler Road SE, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in the evening, and Hawkins was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate investigation efforts, the case has remained unsolved. The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch has been actively seeking information that might lead to the identification of the perpetrator(s) involved.
