In the summer of 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the late afternoon peace in the Woodland Terrace neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C., claiming the life of Melvin Joshua Williams. On Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at approximately 5:16 p.m., the 31-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds in the rear of the 2300 block of Ainger Place, SE.
