On March 9, 2019, 12-year-old Jordan Lloyd was fatally shot in the head while playing with friends in the backyard of a house near his home in Greenwood, Mississippi. He was immediately transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on March 11.
