Kentavis Perry, a 23-year-old man from Phenix City, Alabama, was fatally shot on September 28, 2019, in what authorities later confirmed was a homicide. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours outside a residence in Phenix City, a city located just across the river from Columbus, Georgia. Police received reports of gunfire and arrived at the scene to find Perry with multiple gunshot wounds.
