Death by Force

On January 21, 2020, De'Runnya "Bear" Wilson, a 25-year-old former Mississippi State wide receiver, was found dead in his Birmingham, Alabama, home. A family member discovered Wilson unresponsive at approximately 2:25 p.m. in the 2100 block of Northland Avenue. Upon arrival, Birmingham Police officers and Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene. Evidence led detectives to classify the case as a homicide.
