On June 8, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., a fatal shooting occurred at the Carson Crest Apartment Complex, located at 1401 Carson Road in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident began with an argument between 23-year-old Birmingham resident Zetarius Free and another male individual. The confrontation escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the two men.
