In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of a young woman was tragically cut short. On March 16, 2011, Ebony Denise Mack, a 26-year-old Black female, was found inside a residence in the 3300 block of 15th Street, SE, suffering from a gunshot wound. The call reporting the shooting came in at approximately 3:20 a.m., prompting a swift response from the Seventh District units of the Metropolitan Police Department.
