On April 17, 2020, in Dadeville, Alabama, 61-year-old Willie Tidwell and his 65-year-old wife, Barbara Tidwell, were found deceased in their home on North Barrett Street, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The couple was discovered by Dadeville police officers responding to a 911 call between 7 and 8 p.m. The tragic incident was part of a broader crime spree that spanned multiple Alabama counties over approximately 36 hours.
