On April 15, 2023, 19-year-old Marsiah Emmanuel "Siah" Collins was tragically killed during a mass shooting at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama. The celebration, held at the Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio, turned deadly when gunfire erupted around 10:34 p.m., resulting in four fatalities and injuring 32 others. The victims included Collins, along with Philstavious Dowdell, 18; Corbin Holston, 23; and Shaunkivia Smith, 17.
