On the morning of July 24, 2020, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 900 block of 47th Street North in the Kingston area of Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 49-year-old Demarcus Trelaine Beasley lying unresponsive in a parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
